Welspun Enterprises Limited has announced a major order win for its material subsidiary. Welspun Michigan Engineers Limited, formerly known as Welspun Michigan Engineers Private Limited, has secured two significant sewer rehabilitation projects from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation with an aggregate contract value of Rs 351.24 Crore.

The total contract value for both projects is Rs 351.24 Crore including GST and excluding provisional sum. The Letter of Award is dated September 18, 2026 and was formally communicated to WMEL post 11:00 AM on September 19, 2026.

Both projects are funded by World Bank. This adds credibility and highlights the importance of the projects for urban infrastructure development in Ahmedabad.
Details of the Two Projects
1. Western Ahmedabad Project - Rs 229.48 Crore
This is the larger of the two orders. It involves rehabilitation of the main trunk sewer line from Gota Lake to 285 MLD TSPS, covering the stretch from Iskcon Char Rasta to 285 MLD TSPS. The company informed that this project represents one of the largest rehabilitation orders secured by WMEL through its standalone bidding capacity.
2. Eastern Ahmedabad Project - Rs 121.76 Crore
The second project involves rehabilitation of existing sewer lines across key stretches of Eastern Ahmedabad. This includes Odhav 310 to Panjrapole Char Rasta to Nirant Cross Road to Mahadev Imperial and Metro Pillar No. 99 to Nirant Char Rasta.
Order Book Impact
Significant Addition to Order Book
With the receipt of these Letters of Award, WMEL's order book as of June 2026 has increased from approximately Rs 2,135 Crore to approximately Rs 2,432.66 Crore. This represents a net addition of approximately Rs 297.66 Crore excluding GST and provisional sum.
Project Execution Timeline
Both projects are to be executed within a period of 24 months from the commencement date. These two projects are among the largest individual sewer rehabilitation projects currently being undertaken by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
