This Is Not Investment Advice
InfoWinfo, its founder Rupam Krishna and its authors are not SEBI-registered investment advisors, research analysts or financial advisors. We do not have registration under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 or the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014.
Everything on this website is only for news and learning. This includes our news stories, summaries, tables and market updates. None of it tells you to buy, sell or hold any share. None of it is personal financial, legal or tax advice. Before you invest, please talk to a SEBI-registered advisor.
Investing Has Risk
When you invest in shares, you can lose some or all of your money. A company that did well in the past may not do well in the future. Every investment decision you make is your own, and so are the results.
Our Information May Have Mistakes
We try to be careful, but we can still make mistakes or miss something. News can also change after we publish it, and a company can later change or cancel what it said. Please use our articles as a first step. For important details, confirm them with the company or other official sources before you act.
Plans and Promises of Companies
Some news talks about a company's future plans or goals. These are only the company's own words, and nobody can promise they will happen. When we report them, we are only sharing what the company said. We are not saying it will come true.
Fair Play in Trading
The publisher and every author of InfoWinfo may buy and sell shares. To keep things fair for our readers, we follow a strict rule: no trading around our news. For each company we write about, the day we publish is day zero.
- 30 days before: on the day we publish, and in the 30 days before it, no one on our team buys, sells or trades that company's shares in any way.
- 5 days after: after we publish, there is a cooling-off period of 5 days. No one on our team buys, sells or trades that company's shares during this time.
- Free to trade after that: we never tell readers what to buy or sell. So once the 5-day cooling-off period is over, our team may buy or sell the shares, whether the news was good or bad.
An Example
Suppose we publish a story about a company on October 20. Then October 20 is day zero. To count the days correctly, remember that September has 30 days and October has 31 days.
- September 20 to October 19: the 30 days before the story. No one on our team trades that company's shares. This is 11 days in September (20 to 30) and 19 days in October (1 to 19), which makes 30 days.
- October 20: the day we publish. No trading.
- October 21 to October 25: the 5-day cooling-off period. No trading.
- From October 26: our team may buy or sell the shares, whether the news was good or bad.
We count calendar days, including weekends and market holidays. These rules exist so that our news is never written to help our own trades.
Readers Outside India
InfoWinfo writes about companies listed in India, and we follow Indian rules. People from other countries are welcome to read. However, nothing here is an offer to buy or sell shares in any country. The rules for buying Indian shares can be different for people who live abroad. Please check the laws in your own country and speak to a qualified advisor.
Links and Ads
This website may link to other websites, and it shows ads from Google AdSense. We do not control those websites or advertisers. A link or an ad does not mean that we support that product, service or company.
Our Responsibility
As far as the law allows, InfoWinfo, its founder and its authors are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using this website or trusting its content.
